Longwood Gardens, located just 25 minutes south of our apartments near West Chester, PA, is always a wonder to experience. However, during the holiday season, the attraction is dressed in its best! A Longwood Christmas features more than 500,000 lights, thousands of poinsettias, amazing Christmas trees, dancing fountains, and more. The exhibition is on display until January 8 and even offers timed tickets so that your experience is sure to be special instead of overwhelming.
Christmasland at Linvilla Orchards
A little further out you’ll find Christmasland at Linvilla Orchards. This Media, PA, staple transforms into the North Pole during the holiday season. During the month of December up until Christmas Eve, you can visit Linvilla to cut your own tree, visit with Santa, go on sing-along hayrides, enjoy mulled cider, and shop for some of your seasonal farm favorites.
Santa’s Express
Looking to ride the rails around our apartments near West Chester, PA? On select dates through December 18, you can climb aboard Santa’s Express on the West Chester Railroad. Visit with jolly Old Saint Nick during this 90-minute holiday train ride through the Chester Creek Valley. Tickets sell out fast, but there is a waiting list in the event of a cancellation. If you can’t get in this year, mark your calendar for next!
A Brandywine Christmas
Until January 7, A Brandywine Christmas takes over the Brandywine River Museum. Visitors will enjoy spectacular Christmas trees decorated for the season coupled with the region’s greatest model train display. In addition, there are special events including family programs and seasonal concerts.
