Holiday Fun in Old City

Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest

Now through March Penn’s Landing is transformed to a magical winter wonderland. During the summer months this space is a roller rink and when the temperature drops you can lace up your ice skates to glide along the waterfront. Philadelphia’s only regulation-sized rink is just minutes from our apartments in Old City. In addition to skating, enjoy a hot beverage and some noshes at The Lodge Restaurant and Bar complete with cozy fireplaces and comfy couches.

Historic Holiday Nights in Old City

Shop, dine, and explore right near apartments in Old City Philadelphia this December during Historic Holiday Nights. More than 50 area boutiques, shops, art galleries, museums, restaurants and cafes around the neighborhood will offer special sales and discounts to shoppers through December 28th. Take care of your holiday shopping and grab a little something for yourself during this event. Historic Holiday Nights in Old City runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Thursday. Be sure to check out the weekly performances at the Betsy Ross House courtyard.

Deck the Alley

Each year, historic Elfreth’s Alley celebrates the holiday season with this charming event. On December 2nd, visitors can enter these historic homes all outfitted for the season. In addition, Santa will be on hand to greet, colonial carolers will fill the area with the sounds of the season, and lights will illuminate this historic area. Elfreth’s Alley’s museum store will have a host of specialty items for you to gift or add to your collection as well. Tickets are required and doors are open from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
