West Chester’s Swingin’ Summer Thursday is kicking off the month of August with a street fair featuring great bands, delicious food, and street entertainment. Iron Hill Twilight Race Series begins on August 20 and is only a short drive away from our Sharples Works apartments in West Chester. The Race Series is a colorful street festival full of fun activities like bike racing, kids’ games, block parties, and foot races. The Market Street Block Party will be held on August 20. It is definitely worth the trip downtown from your West Chester apartment. The block party is a free event that will have activities for kids, great food, and live music.

 September Events in West Chester

West Chester’s First Friday is back again for the month of September. For September’s First Friday, there will be an end of summer sidewalk sale at the Vintage Garage Sale at the Chestnut Street garage. Residents with a green thumb at our West Chester apartments will enjoy the Secret Gardens of West Chester Tour on September 10. The tour takes visitors on a walk through over 30 privately-owned gardens in West Chester. Foodies will also enjoy the West Chester County Food Festival on September 18, which will feature over 50 locally owned restaurants.

Also during the month of October, residents can watch the West Chester Halloween Parade in downtown West Chester. The event is perfect for children and includes activities for children of all ages and a marching band and cheerleaders.
