Volunteers from the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce (GWCC) gather to hang live Christmas greens throughout downtown, creating a festive atmosphere for all.
Whether you’re looking to lend a hand or simply admire the transformation, this event is a fantastic way to get into the holiday spirit early.
Christmas Tree Train (Sundays: December 1-15 – 8:00 A.M.-10:00 A.M.)
All aboard the Christmas Tree Train!
This delightful experience invites families to hop on a train to Wiggins Farm, where you can hand-pick your perfect Christmas tree.
Picture it: sipping hot cocoa, taking in scenic views, and selecting the freshest tree to take home—holiday traditions don’t get cozier than this.
Professional Gingerbread House Competition (Wednesday, December 4-Sunday, January 5)
Step into a world of sugary creativity with the Professional Gingerbread House Competition.
Stroll through town and admire intricately designed gingerbread houses at local businesses and restaurants, then cast your vote for your favorite.
It’s a sweet tradition that showcases incredible local talent.
Christmas Parade in West Chester (Friday, December 6)
Save the date for West Chester’s Christmas Parade, a highlight of the season!
Once a year, downtown comes alive with holiday spirit, twinkling lights, floats, and performances.
This year, enjoy an exciting twist with the new competitions for “Best Commercial Parade Float” and “Best Nonprofit Parade Entry.”

Holiday Music Series (Saturdays: November 30-December 21 – 2:00 P.M.)
Every Saturday from November 30 through December 21, the Holiday Music Series fills the streets of West Chester with live performances in front of the Historic Courthouse.
These performances are a perfect way to enjoy local talent while soaking up the holiday vibes during a weekend stroll.
Santa on the Fire Truck (Saturdays: November 30-December 7 and December 21 – 3:00 P.M.)
Santa Claus is coming to town—on a fire truck!
This unique tradition sees Santa riding through West Chester, spreading joy and delighting kids every Saturday afternoon.
Be sure to wave to the jolly man in red as he makes his rounds.
Please Note: There is no event on Saturday, December 14.
WSFS Toy Drive Breakfast (Thursday, December 12 – 7:30-9:00 A.M)
Get into the giving spirit at the WSFS Toy Drive Breakfast at St. Agnes School.
Bring an unwrapped toy to donate and enjoy a free breakfast as a token of gratitude.

Sharples Works Celebrates Holiday Traditions and Community Spirit
At Sharples Works, we’re proud to embrace the holiday cheer alongside our residents.
We’re continuing our cherished tradition of sponsoring a holiday lamppost. And, this year, the first resident to locate our festive lamp post and share a photo with management will receive a special holiday gift.
Plus, on December 12, residents can join us for our annual Resident Holiday Party, catered by The Social, one of West Chester’s favorite locally-owned businesses.
It’s the perfect chance to celebrate the season, mingle with neighbors, and enjoy delicious food in great company.
